I would like to scream these few sentences in the ears of some of my complaining artists:
Music isn't about effort. It isn't about money. It's aboutinspiration. The truth resonates with the public, not the work involved.Do it out of passion. Be thrilled people want to hear it. Maybeyou'll never get paid. But, if you're supremely talented, and you must be,you will make money. Probably more than you dreamed of at a date aftermost of your competitors have given up.

if you work in the business, you understand.
Work your darn ass off to get people to know your music, cause you need fans. Maybe they'll buy, maybe not. But sitting at home being proud of your (maybe very expensive) piece of music IS NOT GOING TO HELP YOU. Use Myspace, Sonific, Facebook, play shows, invent ways to promote your music, blog, blog, go out, play shows, don't sign with majors that twist your wallet out your pocket the moment you sign your contract and IF you have enough talent, there is a CHANCE you make it.
